Aftercare is responsible for at least 50% to 75% of a tattoo's final appearance

  • Before Your Appointment (Days or Weeks Ahead)

    • Stay hydrated & moisturized: Drink plenty of water and apply an unscented lotion to the area in the weeks leading up to your appointment to keep your skin healthy and ready.

    • Protect your skin from the sun: Avoid sunburns or tanning on the area for at least four weeks beforehand.

    • Gentle exfoliation (optional): Light exfoliation a few days before your appointment can help, just be sure not to irritate the skin.

    • Skip blood thinners: Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning pain relievers like aspirin or ibuprofen for at least 24 hours before your appointment.

    • Get good rest: A full night’s sleep can make a big difference in comfort and pain tolerance.

  • For the first 3 days following bandage removal, apply Aquaphor or A&D ointment in a very thin layer as directed. After the initial 3 days, switch to an unscented, mild lotion for approximately 10–12 days, applying it 3–6 times daily or as needed. Use a smooth, thin layer—just enough to lightly cover the tattoo. Avoid over-applying any product, as excess moisture can interfere with healing and may pull pigment back to the surface.

We recommend avoiding strenuous exercise for one week. Contact with unsanitary surfaces, abrasive clothing, and excessive sweat can lead to irritation, increased scarring, or infection.

Do not submerge your tattoo in water or expose it to direct sunlight for a full month. Prolonged water exposure can result in serious infections, while direct sunlight can overly dry the healing skin and cause premature fading.

    • In order to achieve any Permanent Makeup the following pre-care need to be followed.

    • No Botox treatments should be done 3 weeks prior or 4 weeks after the service.

    • No chemical peels 60 days before or after procedure (brows, freckles, lips will peel quicker due to chemicals traveling under the skin)

    • No Retinols/Retin-A or other anti-aging/acne creams, or serums containing acids as these will fade permanent makeup prematurely.

    • Do not work out or sweat heavily the day of the service (or 2 weeks after)

    • Do not tan or have a sunburned face the day of the procedure

    • No waxing or tinting 3 days before the service

    • Stop taking aspirin, niacin, vitamin E, fish oil, CoQ10 and ibuprofen 48 hours before procedure

    • No alcohol or caffeine 24 hrs before procedure

  • For 14 days following application of permanent cosmetics:

    • Apply aquaphor or A&D ointment sparingly three times a day for 7 days following the service, using a clean cotton swab; *NOT your fingertips.

    • Do not rub or pick at the epithelial crust; allow it to flake off on its own. There should be absolutely no scrubbing, no cleansing creams, exfoliates or chemicals.

    • Gently cleanse the area with a unscented gentle soap after 24 hours. You may rinse with water and lightly pat the area dry.

    • Do no expose treated area to full pressure of the water in the shower.

    • Do not soak treated area in bath, swimming pool or hot tub.

    • Do not swim in fresh, salt or chlorinated pool water for 14 days.

    • Keep pets away from procedure site and refrain from gardening while healing.

    • Do not expose the treated area to the sun.

    • Use a total sun block after the serviced area has healed ( 4-6 weeks after each session ) to prevent future fading of pigment color.

If you are a blood donor you cannot give blood for 1 year following your procedure (per American Red Cross).
